The trouble with choices...
After one unexpected night of pleasure, primary school teacher, Sophie Faraday is facing one of the hardest choices a woman ever has to make.
Older sister, paramedic and single mum, Beth, is finding life tough enough coping with shift work, a mortgage and a ten year old daughter. She doesn't need to love again, not when she knows what love can cost.
There's good reason vet Hannah, older twin to Beth by ten minutes, lives for her animals. She's avoided relationships, because she's learned that the trouble with choices...
...is that whatever you choose, there's consequences.
Sophie knows her decision will turn her world turned upside down, whichever way she chooses to go, but even then, it's not that simple. Because like it or no, it's not only her world that will be rocked.
Beth's lived with loyalty and guilt for so long she's afraid to live without it. Just like she's afraid to love again.
Hannah knows she can't offer a man everything he might want, even if she finds herself wanting him.
How will each sister deal with the consequences of the choices they've made? And will they ever be able to forgive themselves and move on?
Against the backdrop of the girls's Nan slide into dementia, the Faraday girls find they share more than sisterhood.
A warm, family based story with a dollop of humour about sisters and secrets, choices and consequences, and the stuff that binds women together and makes us feel good.
